CEREC One Visit Crowns and Porcelain Crowns

Dental crowns, or sometimes referred to as “caps” are designed to cover existing damaged teeth and provide improved structure, protection, strength, and a more attractive appearance. Crowns can be made from porcelain, gold alloys, or a combination of porcelain and metal. Here at the Center for Dental Excellence, Dr. Stoddard handles each set of crowns on a case-by-case basis and finds the best material for you. In as little as one to two visits, your procedure can be completed and you can have a beautiful smile to show off to everyone.

At Center for Dental Excellence, we utilize the One Visit Crown System by CEREC. This system completely eliminates messy teeth impressions, temporary crowns, and long wait periods for a dental lab to create your crowns. During your visit, you are given a local anesthetic to numb the area where Dr. Stoddard will be working, or a sedative if you would prefer it. Your teeth are then photographed to create a digital model in order to gather correct measurements. The crown is then created in the office in as little as 8 minutes!

After the crowns are created and perfectly fitted to your teeth, a simple bonding process using dental cement makes the crown as strong as your natural healthy teeth. Once properly bonded, your crown will be able to withstand daily use and exposures.
